Albert Habipaj , the 62-year-old Albanian who killed his compatriot Nikolin Nika , has been left in prison by the court in Italy.
The 62-year-old has revealed the first details, claiming that it was the victim who attacked him first.
For him, the reaction was necessary to protect himself.
"When I left him he was still alive," he said, accepting the dispute, but explaining that other people had seen the fight. The argument apparently happened on the street. The murder weapon was not found, but the wound is consistent with a small knife, screwdriver or nail.
According to what is said in the village, the two had known each other for years, but there had been disagreements between them for some time.
Lawyer Nicoletta Cozzi, who defended her client, also gave details about the case: Albert Habipaj had numerous wounds and bruises on his face and head.
Footage from video cameras on Viale Vittoria will probably be able to 'tell' something more about what happened on Sunday. Both the victim and the person accused of murder have no criminal records or reports as problematic persons from law enforcement.
"My client went home immediately after the incident as he believed that nothing serious had happened and when I informed him about the death of his compatriot he was very surprised and felt sorry," added the lawyer.
Nikolin had three wounds on his neck and according to the Italian media, one was so deep that it caused his fatal death from hemorrhaging. He left behind his wife and two children./ Liberta.it
