New details about the event of February 18 that happened in the "Emin Matraxhiu" neighborhood in Elbasan, where a BMW X6 was discovered full of weapons and for which Arben Spahiu and Arsen Preçi, two relatives of Erjon Alibej, were arrested by SPAK for a series of criminal events.
Inside the BMW X6, the police fixed fingerprints and 17 swabs of biological factors and DNA, which were taken for examination to the scientific laboratory.
While through dactyloscopic dust on the glass of the sun visor mirror on the driver's arm, a fingerprint has been detected. Based on this situation, the sunscreen was seized as material evidence for examinations under laboratory conditions in Tirana.
The car loaded with weapons, ammunition and two two-liter bottles of gasoline was found stolen in the city of Shkodra, while the license plates AA 347 BP were declared stolen in Elbasan on September 15, 2022 and belong to an "Opel Zafira" type vehicle.
In the front of the vehicle, in the place of the cigarette ashtray, a white cigarette butt with a partially visible inscription similar to that of the type "Slims" was found and seized.
Immediately after the incident, the police combed the area to find items and other material evidence and in the place called near the former conservation area, 50 meters near the "Attika" restaurant, there are 2 garbage cans, which were being emptied by some employees of cleaning.
One of these people, named Sajmir Shehu, told the police officers that inside one of the garbage cans he had found a satchel, which he had left on the ground.
The bag was found not far from the place where the car was discovered, where inside it was found a key with the emblem of BMW, a firearm, and a key with the emblem (emblem) of the BMW brand.
The "Glock" firearm was equipped with 12 cartridges, while among the items there was also a forged Greek identity card with the name of Kostandinos Lolos, with a photo of Arben Spahi. Among others, an amount of 2600 euros was found.
Based on operational operations, the police went to the apartment of Arsen Preçi and this person was not in his apartment, but guarding on the terrace of the apartment building, which is a few meters away from the scene.
From the preliminary inspection of the cameras and from the information provided on the legal operative road, it is suspected that Arsen Preçi was the driver of the BMW X6 vehicle and it is suspected that he was the one who threw the bag found in the trash can.
Arsen Preçi lives very close to the scene and he is a close relative of Erion Alibej and Arben Spahiu's family. The police also went to Arben Spahi's apartment, which is located on the 5th floor of a building.
In the report of the service, it appears that at the moment when the police officers went to the apartment of Arben Spahi, this person addressed the police officers with the words:
"...why do you have to come to my apartment for cars, which you find on the streets and I have no business with them...".
Also, the two documents such as passport and driver's license in Greek found in the bag thrown in the trash can have Arben Spahiu's photo, and in that bag were also the keys to the BMË X6 vehicle, in which the three firearms were found.
Based on the above, the police have created strong suspicions that Arben Spahiu was providing the conditions and means to commit a serious criminal event and that Arsen Preçi was the one who left the "BMË X6" type vehicle in the place where it was found by the police services.
Currently, for Arben Spahiu, Elbasan judge Elis Dine has set the security measure of "arrest in prison". As for Arsen Preç, the judge has decided "arrest in prison" with a term of 60 days/ hour
