This Friday evening, around 5:30 PM, a male person was found dead in the Peqin-Kavajë irrigation canal.

The body was found in an irrigation canal near the village of Hoxhaj in the municipality of Peqin. The body was only recovered after the intervention of the Peqin Fire and Rescue forces.

The body was identified as belonging to citizen Agim Dallupi, 25 years old from Peqin. He had been missing for 10 days. The 25-year-old was known as a person with disabilities and since the day he was declared missing, the search for him extended to the entire area and along the course of the Shkumbin River and the Peqin-Kavajë irrigation canal.

The body of the 25-year-old was sent to the morgue of the Elbasan Regional Hospital for an autopsy, while the police and the prosecution are conducting investigations to fully clarify the incident.
