Donalda Surducku, the doctor and cousin of Parashqevi Simaku, is the first family member to shed light on her fate.
In a message to journalist Mira Kazhani, she tells of her battle with health, separation from her husband, and the loss of Parashqevië's mother, who passed away a year ago.
The journalist has called for an initiative to help Parashqevi Simaku, the great Albanian singer who left early for the US, and since then very little is known about her fate. A video recently posted on the American television "ABC", appears to show Parashqevi Simaku accepting a bag of aid that is being distributed to the homeless.
Meanwhile, journalist Blendi Fevziu, who shared the video today asking for help in identifying her, says he has already confirmed that it is the Albanian singer. He says he is in contact with lawyers and businessmen in the US to identify and help her, and says that she runs away whenever people who speak Albanian approach her.
Message from Parashqevi Simaku's relative:
Hello Ms. Mira,
I am a relative of Parashqevië. We have lost contact for years. The latest information is that she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and as a result is not very clear.
She has been separated from her husband for a long time, but since he gained custody of their son, she has been forced to continue living in America to stay close to her son.
My mother's aunt (her mother) died completely alone last year and with tears in her eyes for her daughter. As I told you, we lost contact for several years.
We thank you for this initiative and perhaps it is still possible to find him and help.
