"End impunity", US embassy representative meets with head of GJKKO

US Chargé d'Affaires in Albania Nancy VanHorn met today with the head of the Special Court for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (SECDR), Erjon Bani.

In the press release, the US embassy reiterates the message that it stands with independent Albanian institutions, to support them in their mission to ensure justice, end impunity, and strengthen public trust.

Chargé d’Affaires Nancy VanHorn met with the Acting President of the Special Court of First Instance against Corruption and Organized Crime, Erjon Bani, to reaffirm the U.S. commitment to supporting Albania’s fight against corruption and organized crime. They discussed the court’s essential role in ensuring justice, ending impunity, and strengthening public trust, as well as opportunities for continued cooperation to uphold the rule of law, independence, and integrity in judicial decisions.
