The director of the Opera and Ballet Theater, Abigeila Voshtina, is dismissed

The director of the National Opera and Ballet Theater, Abigeila Voshtina, has been dismissed from her position.

The decision was made today at a meeting of the Council of Ministers, while the reasons for her departure are not yet known.

Voshtina has held this position since 2022.

DECISION ON THE RELEASE OF THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL THEATRE OF OPERA, BALLET AND PEOPLE'S ENSEMBLE

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and point 4, Article 9, of Law No. 10352, dated 18.11.2010, “On Art and Culture”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED:

1. Ms. Abigeila Voshtina, General Director of the National Theatre of Opera, Ballet and Popular Ensemble, is relieved of this duty.

2. The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation is responsible for the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
