Storm cuts off electrical cables, fire breaks out in area around NATO Air Base
Scene from the scene

Today's strong wind storm also caused a fire in the bushes and brambles surrounding the NATO Air Base in Kuçova.

The fire was caused by the disconnection of electrical cables and endangered the apartments and villas around Aviacija.

As a result, sparks from the cables have come into contact with the dry grass and bushes around the airstrip, causing a fire. Report TV journalist Mimoza Sinanaj reports that the flames have spread rapidly around the area, favored by strong winds, endangering the homes and villas located around the Air Base in the village of Morava.

20 firefighters and 4 vehicles from the Berat Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene to assist the military forces of this air base. In a short time, the fire was brought under control, while the rain that fell heavily for a few minutes also helped to completely extinguish the fire.
