Tirana, Durrës and Lezha will continue to be under the influence of intense rainfall.

According to the Institute of Geosciences, IGJEUM, rainfall will continue during the afternoon hours of Saturday, but also during Sunday.

In the districts of Shkodër, Dibër, Elbasan, Vlorë and Gjirokastër, precipitation will be moderate to locally intense, while in Kukës and Fier, moderate precipitation is expected.

Other counties will have light to locally average precipitation.

According to IGJEUM, the rainfall will be accompanied by storms in all regions, while their high intensity may cause flash floods in urban areas, especially in Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër, Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan, Fier and Vlorë, depending on the condition of the sewers.

The wind will blow light to moderate, while for short moments it will be strong on the coast and mountainous areas.

The entire country was hit by bad weather this Saturday, causing problems in several regions. In Tirana, strong winds also caused injuries, while many trees fell, damaging businesses and cars. There were also problems in Durrës, where water flooded the roads and sea navigation was suspended. Lezha and Vlora also faced intense rainfall and strong winds.

Due to bad weather, authorities at Rinas Airport suspended flights for about 30 minutes, in order to guarantee the safety of passengers.

Meanwhile, the State Police appealed for caution on the roads, both from drivers and pedestrians.
