Dozens of employees of the company "Bankers Petroleum" held a protest today in front of the "Bankers Petroleum" building in Marinza.
The President of the Hydrocarbon Sector Union, Dritan Shahu, has made a direct call to the Bankers company and its leaders to stop ignoring the voice of employees by focusing on several key demands, such as respecting workers' rights, increasing salaries, implementing the collective labor contract, stopping intimidation and psychological pressure on employees, stopping discrimination and inequality in treatment and benefits, applying the oil worker status, and improving working conditions.
Meanwhile, the workers themselves said that for years, Bankers has not considered the request for a salary increase, while emphasizing that they are not asking for alms but social justice.
Today's protest lasted about an hour and is expected to continue on Saturday.
The oil workers have stated that if Bankers leaders do not agree to resolve the issues, they will escalate the protests to the point of a hunger strike and suspension of activity at the oil company.
