A fake investment platform called " TXEX" is scamming Albanian citizens by swindling them out of millions of dollars through a sophisticated pyramid scheme that operates without a license and outside any legal framework in Albania.

So far, according to numerous complaints to our editorial office, more than 6,000 Albanians have been affected by this scheme, with losses exceeding $5 million in total.

TXEX presents itself as an app that offers "safe" investments in cryptocurrencies, but in fact it is a well-organized scam that exploits social networks and platforms like Telegram, Signal, and WhatsApp to lure victims.

The scheme begins with tempting ads on Instagram and TikTok, where anonymous individuals, presenting themselves as "market experts" or "financial mentors," create simulated investment groups.

In these groups, users see fake reviews and fabricated profits, while being invited to initially invest small amounts in crypto through real platforms like Binance. The funds are then transferred to TXEX, where the real scam begins.

Within the app, the "earnings" seem to increase every day, but the moment the victim requests to withdraw them, they are asked to pay an additional fee of $400, supposedly for verification or other expenses.

In fact, this is a way to extract even more money before the scheme disappears and contacts are cut off.

Victims report that, in addition to financial losses, they have also been forced to send personal documents, including ID and photos, raising major concerns about privacy and data misuse.

Complaints come from many citizens, some of whom report losses of up to 5,000 euros.

Many were initially convinced of the platform's legitimacy, as it allowed small withdrawals at first, a classic pyramid scheme tactic to build trust. But once they invested more, their accounts were frozen and they were now being asked to make further payments to "release" their funds.

The TXEX platform has also been officially denounced by the New Zealand Financial Supervisory Authority (FMA), which on April 17, 2025 declared it a financial fraud and linked it to an international network called "2139 Exchange", which operated in Asia and Africa.

The same technical infrastructure and fraud tactics are used, through a network of operators located in the Balkans and Southeast Asia.

Ky rast kërkon ndërhyrje të menjëhershme nga autoritetet shqiptare për shkak të përmasave dhe natyrës ndërkufitare të skemës.

Mijëra qytetarë kanë humbur kursimet e tyre, disa edhe para të marra borxh për të investuar, të nxitur nga propaganda mashtruese që përdor psikologji manipulimi dhe teknologji të sofistikuara, përfshirë deepfake dhe profile false me identitete të vjedhura.

Dyshimet e shqiptarëve që kanë rënë pre e kësaj skeme mashtrimi janë se disa prej administratorëve janë nga Lezha, prandaj Policia Shqiptare duhet të ndërhyjë dhe të marrë masa të menjëhershme para se të jetë shumë vonë.

Txex eshte emri i programit qe keto kane eshte i palicencuar. Ju lutem postojeni gjejeni nje zgjidhje denonconi sepse une humba nje shume te madhe parash, skema e ketyre eshte qe i dyfishoni parate brenda muajt.

Mua me kane marre 5 mije euro i kam futur ne program nga ana e aplikacionit binance. Si fillim u gezova sepse vazhduan te me shtonin parate ne program ama budallik sepse ishin vetem numra koti.

Tani ky personi kerkon qe ti transferojme 400 dollare qe te mundemi te marrim parate tona. Une rashe pre ju lutem postojeni qe te tjere mos te bien pre.

Disa miq qe kishin terhequr ma sugjeruan. Me para kishe mundesi te terhiqej. Tani qe vazhduan investuan me shum i ka bllokuar.

Me besoni ju betohem qe nuk ju genjej. Kam informacion qe jan disa nga Lezha qe e kane sjelle ne Shqiperi edhe qe e kane perhapur ne qytetin e Lezhes me vjen keq per njerzit qe kan investuar aty sepse jan shum te till. Nese keni pasur denoncime te tjera lidhje me kete ju lutem postojeni qe shteti shqiptar te bej dicka lidhje me keto njerez qe duan te na mashtrojne.

Jane 3 sinjale qe ky personi te sjell qe cdo here ne i bejm fitojm leke. Domethen kush nuk i con 400 dollar i caktivizohet llogaria. Kush i co do ti verifikohet.

It is also known that anyone who asks you for a withdrawal fee is a scam. Believe me, for God's sake, it has taken a lot of people by the throat. Others begged you for money, they want it for surgery because they have borrowed money to get it in. Because those who are are not simple people and know a lot about technology.

We recently got involved with a platform called TXEX, which operated primarily through Telegram and its own software. It was presented to us as a surefire way to make money quickly.

The promise was that the amount we invested would double in a month. At first, everything seemed real, as the app showed fake profits every day, and this gave us the confidence to continue and bring friends and relatives. But in fact, it was all a fraudulent pyramid scheme.

Today, the platform has been closed, our accounts have been blocked, and we have all lost a lot of money. According to data, in the Lezha area alone, over 20,000 people fell prey to this scam.

We know that the fault is also ours, because we blindly believed in promises of easy, risk-free profits.

But I want to say this with all my heart: at least don't let others fall into this trap. If you hear about platforms that promise quick riches, double profits in a short time, or bonuses for bringing new friends – beware!

They are scams that only take money, leaving behind disappointment and pain. I just ask that people know Don't fall for them Because they are shutting us down./ joq
