Following the pollution scandal in the Vjosa River, denounced by the show "Inside Story", the Vlora Police have put Përparim Memaj, responsible for the oil decantation sector in the village of Gorisht, a company administered by Albpetrol, under investigation.

"Crime Investigation Specialists at the Selenica Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor's Office and initiated criminal proceedings against citizen PM, 59 years old, resident of Vlora, responsible for the oil decantation sector, in the village of Gorisht, Selenica, as it is suspected that oil residues were spilled from this sector in the place called "Përroi i Madh" in Gorisht, causing pollution," announced the Vlora Police.
