An investigation started 8 months ago has revealed that about 30 aesthetic clinics in Tirana were using smuggled botox on their clients.

The substance known by its scientific name " Botulinum toxin-A ", short " Botox ", is a processed and purified substance, which has long been used in aesthetic dermatology, especially for the treatment of wrinkles in our country and everywhere in the world.

Economic Crime had learned that in our country, the substance was injected into every environment.

According to the file provided by Tch , in conversations between agents and clinics, the prices range from 100 euros for 0.5 ml.

Conversation with the "Glam House" clinic:

Agent: How are you? I made an appointment for botox!

Receptionist:  What about your name?!

Agent:  -AM 

Receptionist: Yes, just a moment, I'll go to the room to see if it's ready and let me know.

Agent : Yes, can I make the payment?

Receptionist - Then there is no problem. Are you going to do full botox?

Agent- Yes for that.

Receptionist - The room is ready, let's continue. Would you like a coffee before we start?

Agent : No, I can wait there until they come.

Receptionist : I believe the doctor will come directly now. Therefore, as you like, sit where you feel better. Doctor Iva Risto is coming....-

Doctor : Hello!

Agent: Hello!

Doctor IR : I am a doctor, tell me.

Agent: I made an appointment for the full Botox part. That is, on the forehead, very little in the eyes.

Agent: Does the doctor have any specialization?

Receptionist: She is a dentist as a doctor, but she has done endless training for the part she works, she has been working for four years.

Doctor: This is the idea of ​​starting with the first wrinkles, so that when you get a certain age you don't go to surgery, just maintain them with botox.

Agent: Ehe.

Doctor: Botox twice a year or once a year. Moreover I do not recommend it. There are many clinics that take you after three months. The first time, 6 months doesn't last long, 5 months.

So the agent also went to other clinics. What happened to him? 

At the "Begas Klinik" clinic, the doctor told him that she uses "Hemtoks", explaining that there are only three clinics that use this type of brand and it has a very high cost.

At the "Allure Beauty" clinic, the doctor confirmed that they have control in the clinic, as they have problems with the registration of "Botox" because the introduction of this product is still not allowed in Albania.

At the "Medical Hills Seiss Aesthetic Clinic", he tells him that he injects the substance called "Botolinium Intoxine". At the "Onxy Dermo Care" clinic, botox is of the "Naboten" brand, approved according to it by the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe).

At the "Keit Day Hospital" clinic, the botox they inject is "Dsiportin". Then meetings were also held in the clinics: "Arsi Medical Clinic", "Better Me Clinic", "Este Medial Group Albania", Amra Medical Aesthetics", "La Beaute", "Bellisera", etc.

The organization uses a comprehensive approach to security that includes political-military, economic and environmental and human dimensions.

So it has nothing to do with the approval of the botox subject, since in fact the EMA is the institution that is responsible for the evaluation and approval of drugs throughout the European Union.

But where did botox come from and who brought it to Albania?

The "supplier" was the owner of Capo-Al, Mildon Kumaraku, who has already been placed in handcuffs by the State Police.

The last time he brought such items to Albania was on October 9, he entered through the customs of Hani i Hoti.

Together with his wife, V.Kumaraku distributed the botox material in Tirana, which he kept in thermoses, which he kept in the trunk of his car.

According to the Prosecution, Kumarak made 10-12 customs clearances per month and inside the customs office in Vora he had a warehouse where he kept the products he imported from Turkey and South Korea. 

Who was injecting clients with uncertified botox?

- Doctors Hospital, with the object of activity providing medical, non-public outpatient, surgical, plastic services, etc. is one of the main traders selling botox products in Albania.

- The aesthetic clinic Luar Clinic is used to injecting without being specialized for the botox product.

-Senera Hoxha, identified by Instagram under the name Chimera Clinic, is known as a botox product seller.

- Kozeta Bakaj, sells botox, which she buys and imports from Italy. The product is distributed by himself in different clinics, or through a girl, identified on the social network Instagram with the name "elaa", who presents herself as a sales manager for the products of the "Cozzy Aesthetics" clinic.

Thus, in the finalization of this operation, 3 people were placed in handcuffs and 3 others (among them the well-known doctor Skredi Faria) were declared wanted.

But even though the action was finalized 2 days ago, the Police did not reveal the total amount of botox that was seized.

It should also be noted that botox is not a prohibited substance to be injected anywhere in the world, but in Albania it is still not included in the goods that are allowed to be imported. Thus, it is consequently forbidden to inject it.

But clinics have found a way to meet the demands of their customers. How safe the product they injected is also unknown.
