An Albanian couple has returned to the headlines of the media in Italy, because they escaped from prison.

Emilian Bici , 43 years old, and Ermelinda Saphiu , 38 years old, have escaped from the " Villa Fastiggi " prison, after they had left there to do voluntary work, provided for in the plan for the reintegration of prisoners.

They worked on the farm " De Leyva in Pesaro " and had left the prison at 7:00 to return at 8 in the evening, but when the police went to take them back to the cell, they did not find them there. It is not excluded that they had accomplices with whom they left, already having a safe destination, perhaps outside Italy, where they could go in order not to return and be recaptured in prison.

According to the Italian media, it is believed that the couple had been organizing the escape plan for some time while they were working on the farm.

They even worked diligently to hide the traces that they were planning the escape.

The man and woman were jailed in 2018 for attempted murder in Punta Marina after stabbing a 57-year-old man outside a bar in Ravenna nearly six years ago.

They stabbed him in the stomach after a conflict, which started when the 57-year-old refused to meet them by car, while they were with an Albanian friend.

At that time, the security cameras had filmed the scene of the murder, where it was seen that the 38-year-old woman had grabbed the man by the arms, while the husband and his friend stabbed him.
