"Bar houses" in Durrës, Vlorë and Fier/Rrumbullaku orders

The Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, has given several orders to the police structures, in order to prevent the cultivation of narcotic plants.

Rrumbullaku has called to control closed premises suspected of cultivating cannabis, for weekly control of the terrain, for controls based on risk analysis at border crossing points and for increased patrols at the land and sea borders.

Prevention of the cultivation of narcotic plants, in the field and in closed premises, the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, ordered the district and border directors to check closed premises suspected of cultivating cannabis, for control of weekly field visits, for checks based on risk analysis at border crossing points and for increased patrols at the land and sea borders.

General Director, order to all police structures:

- Intensify checks in the field and in closed premises;

-Collect information, cooperating with citizens and law enforcement agencies, on persons with tendencies in the field of cultivation and trafficking of narcotics;

-Weekly control of the territory, with control groups and not only the responsibility of the SPZ, but of the entire police structure in the area;

-Organize joint control groups, with all the institutions charged by law;


-Detailed controls at the border crossing points, at the land and sea borders, to prevent the introduction of cannabis seeds into Albania and to prevent cross-border crimes, in particular the attempted trafficking of narcotics;

-Intensify cooperation with partners, at the local, regional and central level, by organizing joint patrols, both at sea and on land, to prevent and attack cross-border crimes.



- Cooperate with OSHEE in the districts, to identify illegal electricity connections.

- In the event that other law-enforcement agencies will find narcotic plants cultivated in open ground or in closed premises, the responsibility will be on the management chain of the directorate and the relevant police station;

-Organize mass meetings, with the participation of school students and citizens, in order to raise awareness for the prevention of the cultivation of narcotic plants and to increase the awareness of citizens, to denounce this activity.

During the month of January and the month of February, 3 villas, with 5 floors (16 rooms), adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants, by means of lamps, as well as a warehouse in Kropishte of Selenica, were attacked in Durrës, in Fier and in Vlorë. , also adapted for cultivation.

- 13 citizens have been arrested, out of these 8 OSHEE employees, and 3 other citizens have been declared wanted.
