The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime passed for trial the file against the former head of crimes in the Elbasan police, Leonard Palushi. The black squads decided that he should be tried by a shortened procedure, which at the end of the process guarantees a reduction of one third of the sentence if he is found guilty.
The former crime boss Palushi was arrested as part of the 'Golden Bullet' operation after he was suspected of tampering with evidence in several criminal events, when he served as an officer in Elbasan. From SPAK's investigations, it has been proven that in 2020, Leonard Palushi established a relationship with the investigator Erjon Alibej and indirectly received an irregular benefit from him, specifically a vehicle in the form of a gift.
In return, the police officer has carried out a series of actions on account of the orders he received from Erion Alibej. The repentant justice Nuredin Dumani has shown that the 9th police officer on behalf of Erion Alibej, suspected of organizing and ordering the murders of Emiljano Ramazan and Regis Runaj, had directed the investigations in the wrong direction.
Specifically, on July 20, 2020, the murder of the citizen Emiljano Ramazani took place, while the weapon of this event was placed in the service of the Manahasa family.
The information to the police about the weapon was conveyed precisely by Leonard Palushi. According to the repentant, the provision of information was made intentionally so that after the event, a conflict between the Manahasa family and Talo Çela's group would open.
