A 23-year-old Albanian man was arrested in Italy a week ago for possession and sale of cocaine, a sawn-off shotgun and 460 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.

The Varese anti-drug section had recently received news of the presence of a drug dealer of Balkan origin, who, acting with a very special strategy, traded goods through the social network and the WhatsApp platform.

After setting the meeting place and time, he would show up at meetings aboard a late-model 'Golf' with Swiss license plates. These details have been revealed by investigators and published today in the media of the neighboring country.

Within a few days, investigators identified the car and followed it until they found the young man's home in a commune in the Varese area. After realizing he was being followed, he stopped the vehicle and pretended to have personal (physiological) needs, but quickly slipped a package under his feet that he tried to hide in a cavity in one of the railway posts.

He then got into the vehicle and continued on his way. The officers split up, with one group following the car and the other searching the area. After finding the hidden package, they noticed that it contained 40 doses of cocaine. The vehicle was then stopped for a physical check, as was the 23-year-old. Police said they found 20 more doses and a large sum of money, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking.

The search continued in the apartment, where 460 cartridges of various calibers were discovered in a backpack hidden under the bed, as well as a shotgun in the bedroom, hidden behind a wardrobe.
