Reward for police officers, Minister of Interior: We will approve the draft
Ervin Hoxha

Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha guaranteed all state police employees that they will receive their remuneration and overtime payments.

From the Kakavija border crossing, he responded to the interest of journalists, saying that on Monday, " The Ministry of Interior has made a proposal for the removal of the criteria and the exemption of the State Police regarding a criterion that in other years has not been implemented due to the budget ."

According to him, on Monday the Council of Ministers will approve the act and draft decision, which they have proposed for the awarding of bonuses to State Police employees.

Question: Are you aware of the complaints from police officers who have not yet received their overtime pay? What will happen to them?

Minister Hoxha: The Ministry of Interior has made a proposal to remove the criteria and exemption of the State Police regarding a criterion that in previous years has not been implemented due to the budget.

I believe that on Monday, the Council of Ministers will approve the act and draft decision, which we have proposed for the awarding of the State Police employees.

Overtime and supplementary hours are all provided for in the Normative Act, which has been approved, and all overtime hours will be provided according to legal provisions.

There is no misunderstanding or inconsistency in the structures and draft decisions issued by the government regarding the granting of remuneration and additional hours for the State Police.

Everything is according to what we have said and everything will happen according to these decisions provided for in the relevant law.

Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha and the Director General of the State Police Ilir Proda conducted an inspection visit to the Kakavije Border Crossing Point, which connects Albania with Greece, to facilitate the movement of citizens on both sides of the border.

They met with local authorities and then met with representatives of the Greek police at the Joint Coordination Center.
