Tirana police have arrested three people in connection with the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja, a serious incident that occurred inside the courtroom at the Court of Appeals.

Following the arrest of the suspected perpetrator of the murder, Elvis Shkambi, his uncle, Gjon Shkambi, as well as a security guard at the Tirana Court of Appeal, have also been arrested.

The security guard is suspected of neglecting his duty, allowing the perpetrator's armed entry into the court premises, where the crime occurred.

The police are continuing their investigations to fully uncover the circumstances of this shocking event and to hold everyone involved accountable.
