Journalist Andi Tela, commenting on the serious incident today at the Court of Appeal in Tirana, where judge Astrit Kalaja was killed and two other citizens were injured, stated that the perpetrator, Elvis Shkambi, had prepared for today's incident by going to the hearing with a gun, because in the previous hearing, members of the Shkambi family had argued fiercely with the judge.
"The murderer entered there with a pistol and convinced that he would not be caught and that he would not be searched. He had argued with the judge a session before. The party that hit the judge argued fiercely with him. And he was aware of how to get inside. He knew that the detector did not work. Not to mention the courtrooms, which are a few small rooms. That building that was the Court of Appeal for Tirana is now for all of Albania.
After '45, the state built these buildings. It is known in Shkodra as the Bachelors' Palace. In 1992, 31 homeless families were moved there by decision of the municipal council. The Shkambi family claimed both the land and the buildings and became the owners. The conflict began at these moments because they have the right of pre-emption", said Andi Tela on the show "Të Paekspozuarit".
Meanwhile, in a direct link to Top Story, Top Channel journalist Dorjana Bezat revealed other details from the criminal incident.
She said that the author committed self-incrimination, as he stated that his family was the owner of the buildings that were in court where 31 families are housed, and that he had previously said that no one except his family would enjoy that property, claiming that they are the legal heirs.
