The Elbasan Court has ordered the security measure of "prison arrest" for producer Petri Bozo. The decision was made after reviewing the request of the prosecution, while the producer will continue to remain in custody until the investigation is completed.

The prosecution presented evidence and arguments on the basis of which it requested the most severe security measure, a request that was accepted by the court.

According to the official court announcement, the hearing took place this Wednesday, May 28, 2026, where the request of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office was reviewed by Judge Suela Lika.

The prosecution was represented at the hearing by prosecutor Adnan Hoxha.

Elbasan Court Decision:

"At the conclusion of the judicial review, the court decided:

-Accept the request of the Prosecutor's Office;

-To assess as lawful the arrest in flagrante delicto of PB, carried out on May 25, 2026;

-To impose the personal security measure "Arrest in prison" on him.

According to the investigative file, PB is suspected of committing the criminal offense provided for in Article 290/3 of the Criminal Code, which relates to the violation of road traffic rules resulting in death.

The court ordered that the suspect be sent to an institution for the execution of criminal decisions, at the disposal of the prosecuting authority, while tasking the Prosecutor's Office and the judicial police with implementing the decision.

This decision may be appealed to the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction of Tirana within 5 days of its notification.
