Knife fight in Fier prison, demands dismissal of 6 guards and suspension of two

The Director General of Prisons, Adriatik Kupi, has summoned the prison discipline commission, following the knife fight that occurred in Fier prison.

Sources indicate that the proposals of the Fier prison, which require the dismissal of 6 officers and the suspension of 2 others, are expected to be reviewed.

It has also been proposed to sentence prisoners involved in the conflict to an additional three months in prison.

Meanwhile, the Fier prosecutor's office has launched investigations to discover whether the incident was planned or a banal conflict.

Denis Bajri's testimony was taken, according to which Gjini and Zoto called him and attacked him with improvised cutting tools.

Meanwhile, life-sentenced prisoner Ardian Çapja has requested permission to leave his cell tomorrow, after his mother passed away.
