By decision of the Special Court, investigators landed at the premises of the Atelier 4 company, where they seized a series of documents related to the furnishing project of a luxury villa in Palasa.

The seizure of the project was carried out in the wake of investigations into former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, during which strong suspicions were raised that a villa could be a hidden asset of the former senior official.

The villa is located in the Green Coast tourist and residential complex, on the Albanian Riviera, and investigators have been oriented towards it due to data emerging from the investigation.

Belinda Balluku is under investigation by SPAK for corruption and money laundering, as well as a defendant in the tender related to the construction of the Llogara tunnel and the lots of the Tirana Grand Ring Road. A few days ago, SPAK also signed an extension of the investigation deadlines for another three months.

Balluku was summoned and appeared at the Special Prosecution Office premises nine months after the investigations against her were made public. In the meantime, she continues to be investigated at large, after the majority rejected SPAK's request for permission to arrest her.

Two security measures are in force against Balluk: "ban on leaving the country" and "suspension from exercising functions."/ VNA
