In Saranda, 134 mobile phones, over 350 mobile phone accessories and wristwatches of various brands, worth around 20,000 euros, were seized. 

As a result, the police arrested the 61-year-old man who was caught selling them.

Police announcement:

Caught red-handed selling smuggled cell phones and accessories, 61-year-old arrested.

In continuation of the work to crack down on criminal activity in the field of goods smuggling, the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section at the Vlora Police Department has cracked down on a case of sale of smuggled goods. In this case, the following citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:

B. Ç., 61 years old, resident of Finiq, for the criminal offenses of "Trading in contraband goods", "Storing contraband goods", "Illegal employment", "Hiding income" and "Practising commercial activity unregistered with the tax authorities".

This citizen was caught in neighborhood no. 2, Saranda, selling suspected smuggled cell phones and various accessories.

As material evidence, the Police seized 134 mobile phones, over 350 mobile phone accessories and wristwatches of various brands.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Saranda Court of First Instance for further action.
