Problems continue on the Maliq-Lozhan-Strelcë road axis , as a result of landslides.
In some parts of this axis, cracks have appeared in the road body, while on the side parts there have been landslides that have damaged the structure, increasing the risk for vehicle traffic.
The situation has raised concerns about the sustainability of the works and safety on this axis, as just three days ago this axis suffered major damage at kilometer 13 with damage to the protective barrier and landslides on the road.
VIEWS provided by VoxNews:
This axis, which connects Maliq with the Lozhani area and further to the city of Gramsh, was presented as a strategic investment for the southeast of the country.
With a length of 18.8 kilometers, the reconstruction of this road cost approximately 1,164,381,419.00 lek ( 12 million euros ).
The investor is the Albanian Road Authority , while the works were carried out by the company Gjikuria sh.pk. , which still has this national axis within its 1-year warranty.
This is the second time that similar problems have been reported in this segment, which raises doubts about the quality of the works./ VoxNews
