One-lane traffic restriction on the Librazhd-Pogradec axis, road cracks deepen

A worrying situation has been observed on the Librazhd-Pogradec road axis, in the place known as "Arrat e Gurrës", where old and new cracks appearing on the road surface have deepened significantly, increasing the risk for users of this important national segment.

The Albanian Road Authority says it has immediately intervened with emergency precautions to prevent possible accidents and guarantee traffic safety.

In coordination with the State Police, starting today:

- A one-lane traffic restriction will be applied in the area where the landslide occurred;

- A traffic light will be installed to regulate traffic, with alternating passage of vehicles.

These measures are considered necessary to avoid any incident in a segment that, due to terrain damage, poses an increased risk.

Provisional solution below

Official sources indicate that in the second phase of the intervention, a provisional lane will be constructed on the left side of the road, with the aim of restoring two-way traffic and easing traffic.

The authorities appeal to drivers and residents of the area "for understanding and respect for road signs, emphasizing that the restrictions are temporary, but necessary to guarantee road safety on this important axis that connects the East with the Southeast of the country."
