Watermelon producers this year have released the thin-skinned hybrid on the market.

The grain of this variety reaches up to 5 kilograms.

There are two varieties of this product in the market that are liked by the consumer.

In the wholesale market in Lushnja, a kg of watermelon is sold from 35 to 40 Lek.

The price is higher compared to a year ago, but the quantity is less compared to years due to the bad weather during June.

In the retail market, the price is higher. Over 50 quintals of watermelon are sold every day in the wholesale market in Lushnja, not counting the production that goes for export. The quantity is expected to be greater in the month of July when it will also be the season of price reduction.
