The appeal of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime rejected the request of the families of the victims of January 21st that the file be transferred to SPAK.
It is learned that the GJKKO Appeal has decided not to accept their appeal opposing the SPAK decision that transferred the case to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for jurisdiction.
We remind you that on January 21, the family members requested that the file be taken over by SPAK, because they do not trust the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, but the Special Prosecutor's Office has declared incompetence, not only for their lawsuit filed on February 16, but also for the made by the Ministry of Justice and the Socialist Party for January 21.
The head of SPAK, Dumani has stated that SPAK is waiting for what will come out of the investigations of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, in order to take further steps. He emphasizes that in the event that the investigations will establish the existence of any criminal offense or subject under the jurisdiction of the investigation, then the file will be taken over by SPAK itself, as they request.
