Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today that the government is discussing and studying the reduction of the price of electricity, where according to him the main beneficiaries will be pensioners.

"We are also studying a reduction in the price of energy. What I have requested from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy is that the pensioners definitely benefit from a reduction, however small. We are doing a study how this affects. But since the economy is on a good path and I hope we don't have any situation that we have gone through.

Economic growth is pretty steady, so it's time to have these discussions, and it's time to start making retirees benefit from this economic growth. Here we want to introduce another concept, that when the predicted economic growth is exceeded, then for every percentage of the economic growth that is above the forecast, the pensioners will be the first beneficiaries ", said Rama.

The Prime Minister further said that Korça will be the first area to be heated with gas.

"As far as gas is concerned, we will go with Nikon to Azerbaijan, because the project is at an advanced stage, the financing is guaranteed and we will go to give it an impetus to start implementing it.
