Pension indexation could happen in June or July, but there has been no decision yet, announced Finance Minister Petrit Malaj during a press conference.

He also spoke about the reimbursement of farmers, whose potential compensation amount is estimated at around 6.5 million euros.

"We are discussing it with the ISSH, we have created the necessary budgetary space to bring the indexation process closer to June or July. It is a matter of decision-making that we will share as soon as we have the agreement. The latest data from the Tax Directorate shows an increase in invoices by 23%, so far the potential amount of compensation is 6-6.5 million euros. The process will last until the end of June," said Malaj.

The draft law on mandatory housing insurance could be presented to Parliament around the end of June or July.

"The draft law has been shared with all ministries and we are coordinating the latest changes. I hope that by the end of June or July we will have the opportunity to submit it to the government. Expenditures have followed a stable trajectory. Total budget expenditures have been 242 billion lek. We have an increase of 6.3% and are about 135 million euros more," said Malaj.
