The government makes the decision to open the border crossing point at Vlora

Now that the Vlora international airport is nearing completion, the Government has made the decision to open the border crossing in accordance with international rules for the passage of citizens, both at entry and exit.

For this purpose, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are charged with the implementation of this decision.

OPENING OF THE BORDER CROSSING POINT AT VLORA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and point 1, Article 8, of Law No. 71/2016, “On Border Control”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Interior, the Council of Ministers

1. Opening of the border crossing point at Vlora International Airport for cross-border air traffic of citizens.

2. The Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are responsible for the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette".
