After several hours of protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, citizens have begun the usual march along the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, continuing the 18th consecutive day of what is now known as the "Flamingo Revolution".

Under the rhythm of drums, with hundreds of symbolic pink flamingos and anti-government and anti-establishment chants, protesters are moving towards the main institutions of the capital, repeating their demands for the halt of the project in Zvërnec, the repeal of the changes to the law on protected areas and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

This evening's march takes place just hours after the European Parliament adopted the report on Albania, which includes an amendment calling for a moratorium on new permits and interventions in protected areas until full compliance with European nature protection standards is guaranteed.

Protest organizers have described the vote in Strasbourg as an important political support for their cause, while participants have chosen to accompany today's march with hundreds of pink flamingos, the symbol that has identified the movement since the first days of the protest.
