Protest for Zvërnec, the five demands of the civic movement are revealed
Scenes from the protest

The fifth citizen protest is taking place in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Protesters are demanding the cancellation of the project in Zvërnec, while calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama were also heard during the rally.

Participants held banners with opposing messages, which read: "The homeland is not for sale" and "Albania is not for sale."

The protesters emphasize that the protest is of the citizens and not of any political party, excluding the new forces, while they have also made public the five demands of the citizens who are protesting.

"After five days of non-stop protests, we will not stop until our non-negotiable demands are met. This nationwide movement is represented by a coordinating group of patriots with integrity and high intellectual and social values.

They are dignified people, young men and women, determined to see this cause through to the end. This is a response to the great danger in which our country finds itself, in our belief, in these 35 years, national interest and security have been violated. The country's assets and future have been put at the service of private interests and policies.

"To clarify all public opinion, both inside and outside the country, and to remove any shadow of doubt or attempt to tarnish this patriotic movement, we declare that the protest was organized and led by free citizens," said one of the protesters, followed by ovations.

He further listed five demands, which he stressed are non-negotiable:

Requirements:

1- Government resignation

2- Abolition of the status and legal framework of strategic investors

3- Repeal of the Mountains Package

4- Abolition of the protected areas law

5- Cancellation of legal changes for national heritage.
