Gender

New details have emerged from the arrest of Euglen Buraku on July 5, who was caught transporting a remote-controlled mine.

The explosive was connected to a mobile remote detonation device.

Buraku, a resident of Durrës, was driving in the village of Stajkë in Vau i Dejës with a vehicle with old, overlapping license plates, while an examination of his mobile phone found a photo of Preng Gjin inside.

In connection with the case, Eduard Përgjoka, 34, has also been declared a wanted accomplice, in whose apartment in Rubik detonator capsules, 11 cell phones and cannabis seeds were seized.

The seized materials and collected evidence are being analyzed by the investigative group, while actions continue to fully clarify the role of the suspects and the possible purpose of the attack.

Preng Gjini also survived an explosive attack in September 2020 in the Selita area of Tirana.

The first assassination attempt on Preng Gjin was carried out for blood feud motives, while the arrested defendants, in absentia, were accused of ordering and providing the conditions and material means to commit the murder.
