In the "Partizani" affair trial, with Sali Berisha, the defendant for corruption, and his son-in-law Malltezi, also accused of money laundering, other important names from Berisha's former government in 2007-2008, when the privatization of the former complex was at a crucial moment, were called to testify this Monday.
Former president Bamir Topi, former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu, former director of the Isa Tare club, Urim Muja, as well as Paro Laçi, have been summoned to this session before the black platoons of the GJKKO.
But while sources indicate that former Minister Mediu is abroad and may not appear today, the most important name is that of Topi. In the SPAK file, the former president in the years 2007-2012 is mentioned in connection with the actions that were taken to remove the former football club 'Partizani' from the "Distribution Plan" of the Armed Forces.
SPAK highlights a letter dated August 9, 2006, where in the list of properties for the Partizani Football Club, it was determined that it was part of the Expansion plan.
But SPAK says that Fatmir Mediu made a report on May 2, 2007 where the property was no longer listed in the 'Expansion Plan' and on August 17, 2007 the letter was forwarded to the Presidency of the Republic.
Baimir Topi was elected President of the Republic on July 24, 2007 with the votes of the Democratic Party and on August 29, just one month after taking office, he signed the new "Expansion Plan" for the years 2007-2010 from which the Partizani Sports Complex was removed.

The first procedural obstacle has finally been resolved, and the privatization process can resume with maximum speed to compensate for the lost time. In fact, on September 19, 2007 (i.e. only 21 days after Bamir Topi's signature), the Minister of Economy Genc Ruli with letter 50/1 approved the privatization request sent by Fatmir Mediu two years earlier, as Minister of Defense. However, Fatmir Mediu will not complete the process because a few months later he will be immersed in the Gërdec scandal, once again to serve the Berisha family and with 26 deaths on his shoulders, this time he will be forced to resign.
Bamir Topi is expected to be questioned today at the GJKKO for all of this, at a time when he has never been questioned at SPAK about this issue. Meanwhile, it is still unclear when Mediu will appear.
For Isa Tara, who has not yet appeared to give evidence as his family members claim that he suffers from dementia, the GJKKO decided to repeat the summons after SPAK claimed that "there is no act that proves that Isa Tara has been deprived of the right to act (i.e. incapacitated due to illness), but it is simply his son who claims it. Therefore, the summons must be repeated."
Paro Laçi, on the other hand, who has made strong accusations against the Berisha family, has had his name on the list to be questioned in several hearings but has not appeared.
