Two days ago, more than 50 forces of the Shkodra Police, FNSH and RENEA carried out a surprise control in Gruda of Shkodra for the arrest of Eljon Hatos.
The latter was wanted as a suspect and included in the "Metamorfoza" file, but despite checks, Hato could not be arrested as he was not in the apartment.
The apartment where he was suspected to be staying belonged to his brother, Elkier Hato.
Eljon Hato is known as a friend of Ervis Martinaj, a well-known character in Albanian justice, who has been missing since the summer of last year. Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço, invited to "Ora e Fundit" on ABC News, emphasized that there are strong doubts that the operation in Gruda by RENEA and FNSH has been de-conspired.
"The operation is suspected to have been foiled. This has been the biggest problem. It may be part of a deconspiracy, the fact that this person was not caught. In flagrante conditions, you cannot have a warrant of control. I don't know who the flagrante was. The operation was used to search for the persons, who are still on the run. Any control conducted illegally and whatever evidence is collected, the evidence is illegal," he said.
He said that the Ministry of the Interior should clarify the mystery that has involved the fate of Ervis Martinaj. Karamuço emphasized that until now there is no DNA evidence, which would confirm the trail of Martinaj's murder.
"This should be said by the former interior minister and the current minister. Until we find even a single cell of DNA, we cannot speak of any clues. There is still no evidence to prove one track or the other. "The police have information about his fate, but they don't make it public, as long as they can't prove it," he said.
