The hills with olive groves in Peshtan e Vogël are engulfed in flames

A massive fire engulfed the hills with olive groves in Peshtan i Vogël in Fier at noon this Saturday.

The flames have spread rapidly, also favored by the strong wind, getting out of control as they have covered an area of 5 ha.

6 fire engines, 4 from Fier and 2 from Albpetrol, immediately arrived at the scene and were fully engaged in extinguishing the flames.

Currently the fire has been brought under control while the firefighting forces are still working to extinguish all the fires in order to avoid reactivation.

This area is engulfed almost every summer by massive fires, for the extinguishing of which intervention from the air has also been requested. Meanwhile, today's fire is fortunately located far from the residential area.
