A possible criminal event in the family was prevented by the Tirana police, after a 57-year-old man raped and threatened his wife that he would kill her.

It is about the citizen with the initials SD, who was arrested by the police. He also threatened the officers because of their duty.

"Yesterday evening, the SD citizen used violence against his wife and threatened her with a shotgun (in pairs). At the moment when the police services arrived, this citizen, due to his duty, threatened the employees as well of the Police. After neutralizing him, the 57-year-old did not obey the orders of the Police officers to be escorted to the police station." it is stated in the Police announcement.

The shotgun (pair) was seized as material evidence. The 57-year-old is accused of the criminal offenses "Domestic violence", "Threat due to duty" and "Disobedience to the order of the public order police officer".

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
