The Public Procurement Agency has announced the winner of the tender with the object "realization of the territory monitoring project with advanced technology (satellite service) with the "competitive dialogue" procedure organized by the Civil Defense Agency, an institution under the Ministry of Defense.

It is about the "Albania 1" and "Albania 2" satellites, warned by Prime Minister Edi Rama that they would be launched into the atmosphere in March, but this did not happen.

The winner of this tender was the American company "Satellogic USA" Inc. According to the tender documents, the agreement will cost the Albanian state about 6 million dollars, or 671,760,000 ALL for three years.

Please note that the procedure is confidential because the company will not make public the information provided, including technical or commercial secrets and confidential features of offers and requests for participation, a practice that the Albanian government has followed with vaccines as well.

"In the event that the company does not deliver the contract insurance within the final deadline, defined in the notice of the winner, then the contracting authority will confiscate the bid insurance and will conclude the contract with the second ranked bidder in the final classification" - the announcement states.

 "Satellogic USA" Inc. NC 28036, has an address in the USA specifically: 210 Delburg Street, Davidson US and is specialized in Earth observation satellites, founded in 2010 by Emiliano Kargieman and Gerardo Richarte.
