A citizen protest against the government has begun in Tirana, entering its 38th day.
Citizens have gathered at "Skënderbej" Square, from where they will march towards the Prime Minister's Office, where the protesters' speeches will also be held.
Participants showed up with banners and red and black flags, calling for change and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protest has gathered citizens of different age groups, including young people, students, the elderly, professionals, and activists.
The protesters have demanded the fulfillment of their five demands, including the resignation of Prime Minister Rama, the creation of a caretaker government, and constitutional changes.
During the protest, several citizens gave statements to the media expressing dissatisfaction with the government and the economic situation in the country.
One of the protesters claimed that he had been fired for failing to secure votes from the diaspora during the elections.
He accused the government, saying the country is "ruled by a criminal organization."
Another senior citizen criticized the decision to financially support Kanye West's concert, stating that the 4 million euros in funds should have been used for pensioners.
He also spoke about the increase in housing prices and the economic difficulties of citizens.
The protest also featured banners addressed to the US Embassy in Tirana, demanding a clear stance on the political situation in the country.
Meanwhile, a citizen from Italy described the protest as one of the largest and most civil in Albania, stating that Albanians have been forced to leave the country due to social and economic problems.
