The four officers of the National Security Unit (FNSH), arrested by the Police Supervision Agency (AMP) after Hasan Verracaku's escape from the "house arrest" security measure, have been released by decision of the First Instance Court in Shkodra.

In the hearing for determining the security measure, the court imposed the measure "compulsory appearance" on them, leaving them to be investigated at large on the charge of "abuse of office".

Inspectors DH, G.Xh., DH and employee RZ are under investigation. According to the AMP, they are suspected of not having properly exercised their duty to supervise Verracak, which enabled his removal from the apartment where he was staying in implementation of the security measure.

Meanwhile, criminal proceedings have been registered against Hasan Verracaku for the offense of "Removing a prisoner from his place of residence", as he is suspected of violating the conditions set by the court.

Verracaku is one of the people under investigation for the serious incident that occurred in Velipojë in June 2021, where four people lost their lives and two others were injured. After the end of the pre-trial detention period, he was placed under "house arrest" and was guarded 24 hours a day by State Police officers.
