A 65-year-old man was arrested by the police after being accused of sexually abusing a minor 8 years ago.

At that time, the girl, who was allegedly raped, was 6 years old, the report was made by the minor herself and her mother at the Elbasan Police Station.

The 14-year-old and her mother reported that in 2015, the citizen with the initials AS had violent sexual intercourse with the minor at her grandparents' house.

Police notification:

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Elbasan Police Station handcuffed the citizen AS, 65 years old, a resident of Elbasan, after around 10:00 a.m. on 20.08.2023, a 14-year-old girl and her mother appeared at the premises of the Police Station. of her, which reported that in 2015, the AS citizen had violent sexual intercourse with the minor in her grandparents' house.

Procedural actions with the minor were carried out in the presence of her mother, psychologist and lawyer. Investigations are continuing at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to verify this report," the police announced.
