His 24-year-old wife and his 3-year-old little son were waiting for him at home. But Iralt Merdita never returned. He died in the Brescia hospital a few hours after the tragic accident he was involved in.

He had just finished work and was returning by motorbike when he collided with a car driven by a 40-year-old woman. The impact was severe and his engine split in two. He was rushed to the hospital, but died in the morning.

Who was Iralt Merdita? He turned 28 in February. He was born and raised in Albania, from where he moved to Italy to work. First he went to Crotone, where he lived with his parents, then he and his brother went to Ghedi.

He worked as a mechanic at Ghedi's Warner Car. "He was a very good, educated, responsible and available boy", his colleagues say from the office with trembling voices.

The serious accident The dynamics of the serious accident, which happened around 20:00 on Wednesday, are still under investigation by the carabinieri. It turns out that there were no witnesses and police officials are analyzing security cameras in the area.

The incident happened near a gas station. The driver of the car that was involved in this accident is also in the hospital, without danger to her life. And while the investigations continue, the dead body of the young man is expected to be handed over to his family, to give him the last farewell.
