Two arrests were made today for the murder of a 42-year-old man in Rafina, Athens, on Sunday evening. Both detainees are reportedly Albanian, but one has Greek citizenship. Dimitris Kordas was raped by a group of five Albanians on Sunday in a nightclub "Sante Rock Bar".
According to what the media in the country report, from the testimony given to the police, everything started for banal motives. Apparently, while going to the toilet, the 42-year-old touched one of them and "saw them wild". And then, after leaving the bar, they waited for him when he went out with his girlfriend, and raped her to death.
The two young men in handcuffs are the ones who hit the 42-year-old, while the rest of the group was not directly involved in his beating, however they have been identified and are wanted by the police. It all started after the young Albanians allegedly harassed their husband's girlfriend and then outside the premises they started hitting him with fists and kicks.
Authorities arrested them based on eyewitness accounts, as well as on the cameras of the bar that filmed the vehicle with which the perpetrators escaped. Now, authorities will try to find out which of the two detainees was the one who hit Kordas on the head with an iron handle causing his death.
