The Vlora Captaincy has announced that the forecasts speak of a hydrometeorological deterioration situation in the bay of Vlora and beyond.

For this reason, the issuance of departure permits for all small vessels, fishing vessels operating outside the bay of Vlora and taking measures to secure them is prohibited.

Bad weather is expected to start after 22.00 on 22 April until 10.00 on 23 April. The wind will be strong in the South-Southeast direction at a strength of 5-6 points inside the bay of Vlora and outside it the waves can go up to 3.5 meters.

"It is forbidden to issue departure permits for all small vessels, fishing vessels operating outside the bay of Vlora and to take measures to secure them. Small vessels and fishing vessels operating within the bay of Vlora should take into account the deteriorating conditions and take measures to ensure their safety.

All pilots of fishing vessels and small vessels are notified of the deteriorating situation and measures should be taken to secure the vessels at the landing sites and to prevent events and situations during the dates 22 April 2022 to 23 April 2022. Improving the deteriorating meteorological situation in the bay of Vlora and outside it for small vessels and fishing vessels will be after 23 April 2022 at 10:00 ”, it is said in the announcement.
