The Balkan lynx (Lynx lynx balcanicus) was photographed for the first time in the Prespa National Park.

The photo coincides with the 11th anniversary of the first photo of the lynx in Albania, unveiled on April 21, 2011.

"A nice surprise for our team during the camera surveillance trap today, was the photographing of the Balkan lynx (Lynx lynx balcanicus), for the first time in the Prespa National Park. Proving to us that this species is continuing to extend its habitat. in the territory of the country, thanks to the methods of preservation and conservation ", writes the association of Preservation and Protection of the Natural Environment in Albania on its Facebook page.

The Balkan lynx is also photographed on the Macedonian side of Prespa Park, as borders do not exist for wildlife.
