Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Commissioner of the European Union, for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, visited this afternoon the bypass of Vlora, a financing of the EU through a grant of 20 million euros.
In a joint press conference, after the inspection of the bypass, Rama appreciated the visit of Varhelyi, while he said that this visit comes today, in the unlikely event that Varhelyi was here on the announced day of the opening of the bypass on July 7.
Prime Minister Rama was also asked about the high prices in the tourism sector during the conference with Oliver Varhely from the Vlora bypass.
He clarified that if there really is a problem with high prices it will be analyzed at the end.
"If someone sets an illogically high price and then no one comes, this is a loss that he will pay for himself, he will not expect the state to pay him, that's why we chose this system. And if in the end we will have this finding, this will be a very good lesson to understand that in order to be competitive in a region that has other very close and quality destinations, where competition is not a game of simply, you have to think carefully before setting the prices," said Rama.
According to the prime minister, if the abuses continue, this season will be a lesson for future seasons.
