The well-known Albanian singer, Elsa Lila, has just published her first book, "Welcome to Rebibbia".
To promote her book, Elsa Lila gave an interview to journalist Rudina Djunga, where she confessed that while she was in the prison cell, another woman had tried to kill her.
But luckily for her, she met an Albanian girl in the prison premises, who took her under her protection.
And consequently he had saved his life!
Excerpt from the interview:
Elsa Lila: I was in 41bis and could not communicate with anyone outside. I can't even mention the names of the clan that was inside that protected me...
Rudina Xhunga: But there was a clan that called you and said...?
Elsa Lila: It was a clan, which, through the Albanian girl, told me access and protection.
Rudina Djunga: Because if you don't have protection it can happen like it happened to you that they came to kill you?
Elsa Lila : Yes! Anything can happen there. I had access to some people who gave me protection. Anything can happen there. Because there are convicts who do not even have mental balance and can harm you, but not because they have a problem with you. Chance wanted me to find some people in there, like the Albanian girl and the two guards who protected me in there. They filled me with strength, courage and let's say that I have not had a simple life. I don't come from a fairy tale life. I have had an extraordinary life.
Elsa Lila was arrested in 2022 after being suspected of being part of a criminal organization involved in the sale of drugs in Rome.
According to reports made by the Italian media at the time, the group consisted of 13 people, Italians and Albanians, while Lila was supposed to have the role of " financier of the group ".
A black pad was found in her house, inside which it was said that all the cocaine data were recorded.
