A 19-year-old from Forli reported a sexual assault by an Albanian she had known for several days and who had paid for her room at the hotel where she was staying.

According to the Italian media, this is a story with circumstances that are still unclear, but which has at least some fixed points, the first is a tearful 19-year-old girl was taken to the emergency room after reporting sexual assault by an Albanian citizen, known for several days, in the hotel room he had paid for. 

The second is that yesterday afternoon, in front of Hotel Mattei, in the former Aniç neighborhood, in addition to the ambulance, three police cars also intervened and that now, in addition to assessing the credibility of the event, they are trying to find the suspected rapist.

The victim is a 19-year-old woman from Forlì, living in Gatteo Mare and yesterday morning she arrived in Mattei shortly after 11, with two men, the Albanian citizen with whom she allegedly befriended about ten days ago and an the second he joined them at the hotel. 

Around 11:20 a.m., the young woman, who had already stayed in this structure a while ago, occupied a room for a day, registering only her name in the check-in, while her Albanian friend paid for it.

According to the knowledge of the hotel manager, Nicola Musca, who was away on his duties at the time, the three asked to be allowed to drink alcohol in the hotel bar, which however was not open in the morning. At that point they went out and were going to spend a few hours at a nearby cafe. Only the 19-year-old returned with her Albanian friend around 2:00 p.m.

According to some witnesses, the young woman seemed in an altered state and went up to her room. The man made it, unseen by the reception staff, possibly using the service stairs. It is still unclear if the two had made a date or if the young woman intended to enter the room alone. The fact is that shortly before 2:30 p.m., something happened inside that room.

The 19-year-old first called and sent a message to her brother-in-law, who immediately called the police and called reception. Hotel staff immediately called the room number and at that point, her attacker was still inside the hotel, but he had already left when the police arrived. The manager, meanwhile, announced the incident after he returned to the hotel and called the carabinieri, from whom he learned that a unit was already arriving.

Upon arriving at the hall, the girl was seen in tears and after the first treatments on the spot, around 3 pm, she was sent to the emergency room. Here she underwent the checks required by the protocol in case of possible sexual violence. Meanwhile, officers have viewed footage from the facility's video surveillance system and gathered testimony from the receptionists who handled the first stages of the request for help. Meanwhile, the brother-in-law who had contacted the girl first had also arrived at the scene. In the middle of the afternoon, the scientific police also arrived for relief, and now the investigations for the detailed reconstruction of the event are at the head of the Flying Squad.
