The police have arrested the driver who killed a pedestrian near the village of Drithas in Maliqi.

29-year-old Gerald Terolli, a resident of Drithas village, was taken into custody. He is accused of violating traffic rules and leaving the scene of the accident.

The 29-year-old hit the 58-year-old Roland Sh. The latter was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a car. He died at the scene due to the strong impact, while the driver left without giving him help.

The materials were passed to the Korca Prosecutor's Office for further action.
