Erion Alibej continued his testimony for the "Golden Bullet" file today at the GJKKO, as a collaborator of SPAK in the unraveling of a series of criminal events and drug trafficking.
He also recounted his early childhood acquaintances with Suel Çela and Hajdar Çopjan, who also had many friends with his late brother, Endriti, while also revealing drug-related conflicts abroad, from the Netherlands to Italy and beyond.
Alibej revealed that Suel Çela had stolen 2 kg of cocaine from Hajdar Çopja in Italy, while the latter owed half a kg of drugs to Arjan Spahiu.
Alibeaj also testified about how he helped Suel Çela escape from house arrest in Italy, after being arrested for drugs.
He said: "I was friends with Suel Çela, I knew Hajdar Çopja through family, Elbasan is small, we have known each other since childhood. We have not had any problems or taken revenge on anyone, except that they owed us money. Endriti was also based in England, I had not spoken to or met Suel Çela for a long time due to a dispute regarding Arjan Spahiu, for drug trafficking. One day Endriti told me that Suel was coming to the house with Sokol Sanxhatari, I did not want to meet them, Suel started trafficking early in Italy, where he was arrested, in Italy Suel stole 2 kg of cocaine from Hajdar Çopja, Suel was with Klodian Çopjan, who was Hajdari's second cousin. I helped Suel after his arrest, when he was under house arrest, Arjan Spahiu went to get him, entered from France and took him out, Suel owed Arjan for half a kilo of cocaine, I acted as guarantor for this. "so that they don't fight."
SPAK Prosecutor : Tell us about yourself.
Erion Alibej: My father left me when I was little. We were a respected family in the city. My brother first emigrated to Greece, later to Italy. During this time he was involved in illegal activities, drug trafficking. I took care of my mother and was not involved.
From 2006-2010, the brother was involved in drug trafficking. In 2010, he emigrated to the Netherlands and until his death, he had Dutch documents. Subsequently, his brother, Endrit Dylgjeri (Alibej), was involved in drug trafficking.
In 2010 I went to Italy to get some medicine for my mother. My brother was wanted by the Italian police. On the last day I was to return, the police arrested me. A trial was held and I was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months as if I were a member of the group, even though I was not. In 2012 I was released. Endriti sent me a girl, who picked me up in a car and we went to Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The day I went to his house, I found Hajdar Çopje there too. We knew him as Elbasanlli. I told Endrit, yes, this one. As soon as he arrived, he told me, I will help him find a house.
Endriti had many acquaintances and connections in the Netherlands for drug trafficking. Everyone wanted to work with him. He worked with England, with Italy, with Belgium. Everyone needed him.
Endriti was 2 years older than me. Our uncle left us a business. At the age of 16, my brother started emigrating. He never worked legally.
SPAK Prosecutor: What were your mutual acquaintances in Albania?
Erion Alibej: I, an acquaintance in Elbasan, who we grew up with, was Suel Çela. He also had many brothers, among whom was Hajdar Çopje. We knew them as family. Franc Çopje was a child at the time.
SPAK Prosecutor : What happened later?
Erion Alibej : Endriti was one of those who had knowledge of domestic distribution. This is because drug trafficking lines, in addition to entering the EU, needed a strong point for distribution.
During the period I went to the Netherlands, I saw that Endriti had problems with the cargo in England. Some cargo had been seized and he had some debts. There were problems at the base in England. I suggested that I go to England, but he refused. I returned to Albania.
Before I returned, I had a falling out with Suel Çela. This was also because of Arjan Spahiu.
One day, Endrit told me that Sokol Sanxhaktari, Sueli, and another person were coming to the house. I told him, why not, because Sueli had also had a problem with Endrit in the Netherlands.
I had told Sueli not to clash with Arjan. Sueli was called the minor, because he started drug trafficking in Italy when he was a minor. He was arrested in Italy in 2006 or 2007.
I was close to the Çela family. They considered me a son of the house. At that time, Klodian Çopja and Suel Çela had identified Hajdar Çopja's base and stole 2 kg of cocaine.
From this period, Hajdar Çopja broke up with Klodian, who was his second cousin.
While Suel Çela was under house arrest, he asked me to help Arjan Spahiu escape from house arrest. Arjan fled Spain and took him to Italy. Later he helped him, but they argued over a debt Suel owed for half a kilo of drugs.
Since then, when they got into a fistfight, I decided not to talk to either of them. During the period that I wasn't talking to them, Sueli came to my house with Sokol Sanxhatari and another boy.
In 2012-2013, it was during this period that Endriti asked me to meet Suel Çela, Sokol Sanxhaktari. Endriti told me that they would test the quality of a quantity of cocaine.
SPAK Prosecutor : What was your life like before your brother's murder?
Erion Alibej: I have never dealt with drugs in my life, but I have always supported my brother. Because I have a brother. He had asked me to go to England. I went by truck, at the beginning of 2016, to my uncle's family, who had lived there for many years. They didn't know anything, I was able to sell cocaine, but I couldn't find a house. At that time, Hajdar Çopja was living in the Netherlands and was taking drugs to dealers in Germany on horses.
